Our mission is to provide access to technology and knowledge sharing while fostering a community of service. The Brunswick Hackerspace is open to everyone in Brunswick, regardless of age, race, gender, preference or economic status.

Education. We will create and maintain programs that will promote Computer Science literacy in Brunswick, Maryland. These programs will provide affordable access to technology to all Hackerspace members.

A Place To Learn And Share. We will create and maintain a physical space that will provide members in our community with access to tools, training, mentoring and other resources. This space will become a community hub where we can meet, learn and have fun.

By the spring of 2016 The Brunswick Hackerspace had raised enough money to enroll 35 participants age 8-12 in our CS4ALL Pilot Program, a program where children in Brunswick are introduced to Computer Science. Unlike similar programs our participants get to take the computers home with them.

In early 2016 The Brunswick Hackerspace partnered with Grace Episcopal Church in Brunswick. It is in this space that we are able to launch pilot programs and host monthly meetings. Thank you, Grace!

Brunswick Hackerspace was established November 2015 by Annabella Cook and Domenico Vigliotti (with a bit of help from parents Lisa Cook and Christopher Vigliotti). After spending the winter break playing with their new Raspberry Pi computers they wanted to take this same model of hanging out and learning from each other to the community.
